Scan the QR Code in the video and listen to Frida's own words spoken by a voice actor, and check out her personal Frida story below:
Ever since I was little, my mom was very interested in our Mexican heritage, and she would learn every little thing she could about it. She learned she was a descendant of someone who was at the Alamo, and my dad traced her geneaology through the Aztecs and Spaniards. When I'd come home from school and tell her about the white historical figures, she'd in turn teach me all about the Mexican ones, like Cesar Chavez because of where we live, and especially Frida Kahlo. I was marked as gifted in the arts, and she decided to teach me all about Frida growing up. I'm very proud to be part of this project, and incredibly happy to make my parents proud by helping to connect more people with Frida Kahlo and her very inspirational life and story. –Mariella Espinosa, IG @real_lobotoboy!
